CSV and CDU Saar presented a joint position paper in Schengen on 13 March, with a clear message: overcome
borders and shape a shared future.
The Greater Region is to grow together even more strongly
– economically, technologically and socially. The focus is on concrete projects in the areas of the economy and infrastructure, space travel and defence, education and skilled workers as well as security and freedom of movement.
A modern and efficient transport infrastructure, in particular
a fast rail link between Saarbrücken and Luxembourg, is a priority.
At the same time, both
parties want to expand cooperation on innovation, artificial intelligence and new mobility technologies and position the Greater Region as a European innovation hub.
Cooperation in education and the
labour market is also to be strengthened, in order to create new prospects for young people. p>
The goal is clear: a strong, connected and Europe-oriented region, without borders
, where security and economic development go hand in hand.
